That’s a lot of points for a team that’s now facing a Denver offense coming off consecutive 28- and 30-point performances.
The Panthers have shown they can win games, including a 25-14 victory over Philadelphia a few weeks ago. That’s why I wouldn’t completely dismiss them here. Carolina can be competitive when it runs the football effectively and keeps its defense off the field. But when opponents start scoring quickly, the Panthers have had trouble keeping up.
The extra rest is a real advantage for Carolina. The Panthers played Thursday, while Denver had to battle Kansas City on Sunday. That gives Carolina more time to prepare and recover. But rest only helps so much if the defense keeps giving up big plays. Denver has been finding ways to score, and Carolina needs to prove it can slow the Broncos down.

I’m taking the under 43.5. I know Carolina has been giving up plenty of points, and Denver has scored 28 and 30 in its last two games. That makes the over tempting. But I don’t trust the Panthers to contribute enough offensively against a Denver defense that’s been pretty solid. Carolina should try to run the ball, shorten the game, and keep the Broncos from getting too many possessions. Denver can win this game without scoring 30. I could see a 24-17 type of finish, and that would put us comfortably under.
