Broncos vs Colts Preview

The Broncos travel to Lucas Oil Stadium to take on the Colts, with kickoff set for 2:05 PM ET on CBS. Both teams come in 1-0 after opening-week wins, but the market has Denver listed as a road favorite at -3.5. The total is set at 44.5 points in what shapes up as a competitive AFC battle. From underdogs to point spreads, we’ve got the sharpest nfl picks.

Broncos Preview

Denver opened the season with a 20-12 win over Tennessee, powered by a strong defensive performance and an efficient running game. Bo Nix threw for 176 yards on 25 completions, but his two interceptions stalled drives. RJ Harvey chipped in 70 rushing yards, helping control tempo and wear down the Titans’ front. Courtland Sutton was the main weapon through the air, posting 61 yards and a touchdown. The defense dominated, holding Tennessee to just 12 points while Zach Allen registered a sack and Talanoa Hufanga led with 10 tackles.

The Broncos are still working through the offense, especially with Nix adjusting to the pro pace, but the defense looks like a unit that can carry them. The ability to generate pressure and limit explosive plays will be tested by an Indianapolis offense that looked sharp last week. Evan Engram’s status is worth monitoring, as his presence adds another dimension to the passing game. Even without him at full strength, Denver’s secondary and tackling have been a key strength early.

Colts Preview

Indianapolis was impressive in a 33-8 rout of Miami at home. Daniel Jones delivered a strong debut under center with 272 yards on 22 completions and a touchdown, while Jonathan Taylor chipped in 71 rushing yards on 18 carries. Michael Pittman Jr. led the receiving corps with 80 yards and a score, giving Jones a reliable target in the passing game. On defense, Samson Ebukam recorded a sack, and linebacker Joe Bachie added six tackles, as the Colts completely shut down Miami’s offense.

The Colts showcased balance on both sides of the ball in Week 1, which makes them a tough underdog at home. Taylor’s consistent rushing keeps defenses honest, and if Jones continues his efficient passing, Indianapolis can challenge Denver’s defense. The key will be whether the offensive line can handle Denver’s front seven and prevent consistent pressure on Jones.

Colts vs Broncos Free Pick

The betting market favors Denver, but this game projects as a toss-up given both teams’ Week 1 form. Indianapolis has the home-field edge, while Denver relies on its defense to travel. With Nix still settling in and the Colts showing more balance on offense, there is strong value on the home side with the points.

Prediction: Indianapolis Colts 24, Denver Broncos 20
