Acrisure Stadium will play host to a Thursday night NFL preseason matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Get ready for all the football action with our NFL Picks. The Packers (9-7-1) have missed the playoffs just once in the previous seven seasons and have plenty of questions entering the 2026 campaign. QB Jordan Love leads an offense that saw their scoring dip four points to 23 points per game a season ago. Love’s two top targets will be WR Christian Watson and TE Tucker Kraft.

Green Bay had Super Bowl aspirations last season, until LB Micah Parsons went down with a torn ACL. Parsons will be sidelined to start the year and hopes to return by mid-October. The Packers finished in the middle of the pack in total defense and gave up 21.2 points per game.

Steelers Preview

The Pittsburgh Steelers have reached the playoffs in five of the last six seasons, but have not won a single playoff game during that stretch. The Steelers (10-7) moved on from veteran head coach Mike Tomlin in the offseason and reunited QB Aaron Rodgers with former Green Bay head coach Mike McCarthy. Pittsburgh traded for WR Michael Pittman Jr. and that will give Rodgers a nice complement to WR D.K. Metcalf.

Pittsburgh finished in the bottom third of the league in total defense, but did hold opponents to a shade below 23 points per contest. When healthy, thirty-one year old LB T.J. Watt is still a dominant pass rusher and finished with seven sacks last year.
