Kansas City Chiefs vs Seattle Seahawks Picks and Predictions for Sunday October 25 2026
Five wins, no losses, and Kansas City is getting points in Seattle. That caught my attention. The Chiefs have been winning games without needing Patrick Mahomes to pull something ridiculous out of his hat every Sunday. They’ve got a running back who’s leading the league in rushing, and the defense has been keeping opponents out of the end zone.
Seattle has a pretty good defense of its own. The problem is the Seahawks keep giving the ball away. You can survive a couple of mistakes against an average team. Against Kansas City? Good luck.
The Chiefs visit Lumen Field on Sunday, October 25, 2026. Kickoff is at 8:20 PM ET on NBC. Seattle is favored by 2.5 points, and the total is 42.5. Kenneth Walker III is coming back to Seattle for the first time since joining the Chiefs, so you can bet the crowd will have something to say about that. Kansas City Chiefs Have Found Another Way To Win
Kansas City is 5-0 after beating the Chargers 22-6. That game was pretty much over once the Chiefs got rolling. They didn’t need a big fourth-quarter comeback. They didn’t need Mahomes throwing sidearm passes while three defenders chased him. They ran the ball, played defense, and took care of business. Walker rushed for 128 yards and scored twice. The Chargers managed two field goals. That’s about as comfortable as an NFL win gets.

The Chiefs have scored 140 points and allowed 83. That’s 28 a game on offense and 16.6 on defense. The defense has been terrific, but what I like is the way Kansas City has been running the football. Walker has given them something they haven’t always had with Mahomes. They can line up, hand it off, and make the defense tackle somebody. Seattle is going to be a tougher test. The Seahawks haven’t allowed a 100-yard rusher in 35 straight games. That’s a pretty impressive streak, and Walker is going to have to earn every yard Sunday.
Mahomes has thrown for 1,309 yards with nine touchdowns and three interceptions. He was 23 of 30 for 272 yards against the Chargers. Walker has 665 rushing yards in five games, averaging better than six yards a carry. That’s a ridiculous pace. Xavier Worthy had 73 receiving yards Sunday, and he’s another guy Seattle has to worry about. If the Seahawks load up to stop Walker, Mahomes will throw it. If they sit back in coverage, Walker gets another carry. That’s not an easy choice for a defensive coordinator.
Seattle Seahawks Keep Making Things Harder Than They Need To Be
Seattle is 3-3 after losing 17-14 to Denver in overtime Thursday night. The Seahawks held the Broncos to 168 yards. One hundred and sixty-eight. That’s usually enough to win a football game. But Sam Darnold threw an interception in overtime, Denver kicked a field goal, and everybody in Seattle went home mad. The defense did its job. The offense gave the game away.
The Seahawks have scored 148 points and allowed 122. That’s 24.7 a game on offense and 20.3 on defense. Those numbers aren’t bad. But Seattle has turned the ball over nine times, and opponents have scored 44 points off those mistakes. That’s where the trouble starts. Kansas City doesn’t need much help. Give Mahomes the ball at midfield a couple of times and see what happens. Seattle has to make the Chiefs drive the length of the field. Anything else is asking for trouble.
Darnold threw for 278 yards against Denver, but he also had two interceptions. He’s thrown seven touchdowns and seven picks this season. That’s too many mistakes for a team trying to win with defense. Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught 12 passes for 134 yards Thursday, and he’s been the one guy Darnold can count on every week. Zach Charbonnet might be back from his knee injury, which would help. Seattle needs a running game. Right now, too much of the offense depends on Darnold throwing the ball, and that’s when the mistakes start.
Kansas City Chiefs vs Seattle Seahawks Picks and Predictions
Kansas City Chiefs +2.5 (-110)
I’ll take Kansas City and the points. Seattle has a good defense, and Lumen Field can make life miserable for visiting teams. I get that. But the Chiefs are 5-0, Mahomes has been playing clean football, and Walker is running like somebody stole his truck. Seattle just lost a game where its defense allowed 168 yards. That’s hard to do. Darnold has seven interceptions, and now he’s facing a Kansas City defense allowing fewer than 17 points a game. I don’t trust him to get through four quarters without giving the Chiefs a short field. Kansas City might not score 30, but I think it scores enough. Give me the Chiefs outright.
Under 42.5 Points (-110)
I’m going under 42.5. Seattle’s defense is good enough to make Walker work for his yards, and I don’t expect Kansas City to run all over the Seahawks. That 35-game streak without allowing a 100-yard rusher didn’t happen by accident. The Chiefs have been playing excellent defense too. Seattle is going to have trouble moving the ball if Darnold keeps throwing into coverage. Smith-Njigba will get his catches, but the Seahawks need more than one guy making plays. A defensive touchdown would hurt this bet, and with Darnold’s interception numbers, that’s a real concern. Still, I see a game where both defenses have their moments and neither offense gets completely comfortable. Kansas City 23, Seattle 17.
Final Picks: Kansas City Chiefs +2.5 (-110) and Under 42.5 Points (-110)
