Las Vegas Raiders vs San Francisco 49ers Picks and Prediction for Sunday November 8 2026
The Raiders head to Santa Clara on Sunday for a 4:25 PM ET game against the 49ers at Levi’s Stadium. FOX has the coverage. San Francisco is favored by 9.5 points, and the total is sitting around 52. The weather looks good, with temperatures around 70 degrees, mostly sunny skies, winds near 7 mph, and little chance of rain. Nothing there should bother either offense. The 49ers are coming off their bye, and the Raiders just snapped a four-game losing streak. San Francisco should win this game. But laying almost ten points against a Raiders offense that’s been scoring nearly 28 a week? That’s where I start having questions. Be ready for all the action on Sunday with our free NFL picks.
Las Vegas Raiders Can Score but Haven’t Been Stopping Anybody
Las Vegas is 4-4 after beating the Jets 38-33 last Sunday. The Raiders had lost four straight before that, including games against Kansas City and Denver. They were down against the Jets and fought their way back, so give them credit. This offense has been doing its job more often than not. The defense is another story.
The Raiders are averaging 27.6 points and about 342 yards per game. Those are good numbers. But they’re allowing 28.8 points, and that’s why they’re sitting at .500. Las Vegas has been much better throwing the football than running it. San Francisco has been allowing fewer than 90 rushing yards per game, so I wouldn’t expect the Raiders to suddenly dominate on the ground. They need their passing game to keep working.
Kirk Cousins has thrown for 2,124 yards, 19 touchdowns, and five interceptions. That’s a pretty good start. Brock Bowers has 41 catches for 547 yards and five touchdowns, giving Cousins a reliable target in the middle of the field. Ashton Jeanty has rushed for 337 yards, but he’s averaging only 3.1 per carry. Defensively, Thomas Booker IV is out, and Darien Porter’s groin injury needs a final check. The Raiders can move the ball, but they can’t afford to give San Francisco short fields.

San Francisco 49ers Have the Better Defense
San Francisco is 6-1 after losing 29-20 to Atlanta before its bye week. That’s the 49ers’ first loss, and I expect they’ll be ready to get back on track. They’re unbeaten at home, and the extra week to prepare should help. The problem is that they’re missing several receivers, and that makes me a little uncomfortable with this big spread.
The 49ers are averaging 28.1 points and about 371 yards per game while allowing only 19.9 points. That’s a big defensive advantage over Las Vegas. San Francisco has been particularly good against the run, allowing just 89 rushing yards per game and 3.48 yards per carry. The 49ers don’t give up many easy rushing touchdowns, either. If they force the Raiders into obvious passing situations, that should help the defense.
Brock Purdy has thrown for 1,748 yards with 15 touchdowns and four interceptions. Christian McCaffrey has 389 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns, plus another 251 yards receiving. George Kittle has 34 catches for 425 yards and five scores. Those are plenty of weapons, but Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel Sr., and Christian Kirk are out. That’s a lot of missing receiving production. San Francisco should still move the ball, but I don’t love asking this short-handed offense to win by double digits.
Las Vegas Raiders vs San Francisco 49ers Picks and Prediction
Spread Pick: Las Vegas Raiders +9.5 (-110)
I’m taking the Raiders and the points. San Francisco is the better team. No argument there. The 49ers have the better defense, they’re rested, and they’re playing at home. But Las Vegas is scoring 27.6 points per game, and Cousins has been throwing the ball well. San Francisco is missing three receivers, and that’s a pretty big deal when you’re asking a team to cover almost ten points. The Raiders might give up 30. I wouldn’t be shocked. But I think they can score enough to keep this within a touchdown or so.
Total Pick: Under 52 (-107)
Give me the under 52. Las Vegas has been playing some high-scoring games, and that’s the part that makes this uncomfortable. The Raiders just combined for 71 points with the Jets. But San Francisco’s defense is considerably better, especially against the run. The 49ers should be able to make Las Vegas work through longer drives instead of getting easy points. San Francisco’s receiving injuries could also limit some of its explosive plays. I can see a 30-21 game, which gives us a Raiders cover and keeps the total under.
Final Picks: Las Vegas Raiders +9.5 (-110) | Under 52 (-107)
