Los Angeles Chargers vs Los Angeles Rams Picks and Prediction for Sunday November 1 2026
The Chargers haven’t won a game. Not one.
And they’re sharing a stadium Sunday with a Rams team that’s leading the NFL in total offense.
You can tell me the Chargers are due. You can tell me it’s a rivalry game and strange things happen when two teams know each other this well. That’s all fine. But at some point, you’ve got to look at what these teams have actually done.
The Chargers are scoring 15 points a game. The Rams are gaining almost 400 yards. That’s a pretty big difference.

The Chargers face the Rams at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on Sunday, November 1, with kickoff at 4:05 PM ET on FOX. The Rams are favored by 6.5 points, and the total is 44.5. SoFi has a fixed roof over its playing field, so outdoor rain and direct wind won’t affect the game the way they would at an open-air stadium. Los Angeles Chargers Can’t Get Anything Going
The Chargers are 0-6. That’s a miserable start for a team that expected to be competitive. They’ve had opportunities to win, but the offense has been too inconsistent, and the turnovers have made everything worse.
The Chargers average 15 points and 287.2 yards per game. They’re last in the league in scoring and 28th in total offense. They’ve also been minus-five in turnover differential. That’s a bad combination against a Rams team capable of moving the football. The Chargers have only 11 defensive sacks, so they haven’t been getting enough pressure to make up for the offensive problems. If Stafford gets time to throw, the Rams could have a pretty comfortable afternoon.
Justin Herbert has thrown for 1,141 yards with five touchdowns and eight interceptions. That’s not the kind of start anybody expected. Omarion Hampton has rushed for 289 yards and three touchdowns, while Tre Harris leads the receivers with 225 yards. The Chargers need much more production from their passing game. Derwin James is out with a hamstring injury, while Kayode Awosika, Brenen Thompson and Deane Leonard are also unavailable. Losing James hurts a defense that’s already having trouble creating pressure.
Los Angeles Rams Have Been Moving the Football
The Rams are 3-4, so let’s not pretend they’ve been perfect. They haven’t. But the offense has been much better than the record suggests, and this is a favorable matchup against a Chargers team that’s been struggling on both sides of the ball.
The Rams average 399.1 yards per game, best in the NFL. They’re scoring 24.3 points, which isn’t quite as impressive, and that tells me they’ve been leaving some opportunities on the field. They’ve also been minus-five in turnover differential. That’s the reason I don’t love the Rams as a big favorite every week. They can move the ball 70 yards and then make a mistake that costs them points. Against the Chargers, though, I think they’ll get enough opportunities to overcome that.
Matthew Stafford has thrown for 1,989 yards with 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Kyren Williams has rushed for 492 yards and five scores, averaging 5.1 yards per carry. Puka Nacua has 45 catches for 485 yards. That’s a much more productive offensive group than what the Chargers have been putting on the field. Colby Parkinson, Coleman Shelton and Trent McDuffie are questionable, while long snapper Joe Cardona is doubtful. Those injuries deserve attention, but the Rams still have their main offensive pieces.
Los Angeles Chargers vs Los Angeles Rams Picks and Prediction
Los Angeles Rams -6.5
I’m taking the Rams minus 6.5. The Chargers are desperate, and that can make a winless team dangerous. Herbert is also capable of having a big game when he’s playing well. But he’s thrown eight interceptions, the Chargers are scoring only 15 a game, and now they’re missing James on defense. The Rams have the better running game, the more productive passing attack and the home-team setup at SoFi. I think Stafford and Williams do enough to build a lead, and the Chargers struggle to keep up. Give me the Rams by ten.
Under 44.5 Points
I’ll take Under 44.5. The Rams can move the football, but they haven’t been turning all those yards into touchdowns. The Chargers have been scoring only 15 points a game, and that’s the bigger reason for this pick. I don’t expect Los Angeles to suddenly fix all its offensive problems against the Rams. The danger is turnovers creating short fields and giving Stafford easy scoring chances. But I think the Rams can win comfortably without this turning into a 50-point game. Something like Rams 27-13 sounds right.
Final Picks: Los Angeles Rams -6.5 and Under 44.5 Points
