New York Giants vs Philadelphia Eagles Picks and Prediction for Sunday November 8 2026
The Giants head down to Philadelphia on Sunday for a 1 PM ET game against the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. FOX has the game. Philadelphia is favored by three points, with the total sitting at 38.5. The weather looks fine for football, around 58 degrees, dry, with winds near 10 mph and gusts around 20 early. Nothing there that should completely change the game. What bothers me is the line. Philadelphia has been one of the worst offensive teams in football, and somehow the Eagles are laying a field goal against a Giants team that’s been playing better. I’m not buying it. New York Giants Have Been Playing Better Football
New York is 4-2-1 after getting a bye last week. The Giants have been one of the more surprising teams in the NFC, and they’ve been doing a good job controlling games. They’re not exactly blowing everybody out, but they’re finding ways to move the ball and keep opponents off the field. That matters against an Eagles team that hasn’t been doing much offensively.
The Giants are averaging 23.3 points and 346 yards per game. That’s not spectacular, but it’s considerably better than Philadelphia’s numbers. New York is also controlling the ball for more than 33 minutes per game, second-best in the league. Defensively, the Giants have been opportunistic, collecting six interceptions through seven games. The pass rush hasn’t been great, with only nine sacks, but they’ve been making enough plays to stay competitive.
The Giants have some injury concerns, particularly in the running game. Cam Skattebo is doubtful with a hamstring injury, which could put more work on Devin Singletary. Malik Nabers returned to practice Friday and is expected to be available. Andrew Thomas and Abdul Carter have also been dealing with injuries. Those situations deserve attention, but the Giants have had an extra week to prepare. That’s a pretty good advantage against a struggling division rival.

Philadelphia Eagles Need to Figure Out Their Offense
Philadelphia is 2-6 after losing 27-10 to Washington last Sunday. That’s a rough way to enter a division game, especially when the Eagles have been struggling for most of the season. They’ve got talent, but the offense hasn’t been producing. At some point, you’ve got to stop talking about what a team should be and look at what it’s actually doing.
The Eagles are averaging only 17.1 points per game and 265.3 yards. That’s the worst yardage average in the NFL. Philadelphia is also controlling the ball for just over 28 minutes a game, near the bottom of the league. That’s a problem against a Giants team that likes to keep possession. The Eagles need more sustained drives, and they haven’t been getting them.
Saquon Barkley has been dealing with hamstring and back issues, although he’s expected to play. That’s important because Philadelphia needs its running game to take pressure off the passing attack. DeVonta Smith is out, along with Jihaad Campbell, Michael Carter, Jonathan Jones, Britain Covey, and Dontayvion Wicks. That’s a lot of missing help. The Eagles are at home, but they aren’t healthy enough or productive enough for me to feel comfortable laying points.
New York Giants vs Philadelphia Eagles Picks and Prediction
Spread Pick: New York Giants +3 (-104)
I’m taking the Giants and the three points. Philadelphia is 2-6, averaging 17.1 points, and sitting last in the league in total offense. Why am I laying a field goal with that team? The Eagles have home field and enough talent to win a close game, sure. But New York has been moving the ball better, controlling possession, and getting a week off to prepare. Skattebo’s injury is a concern, but I still think the Giants can keep this close. Give me New York and the points.
Total Pick: Under 38.5 (-109)
Give me the under 38.5. That’s a low number, but Philadelphia has been scoring only 17 points per game. The Eagles have had trouble sustaining drives, and New York has been good at keeping the ball away from opponents. I can see this turning into a game where both teams spend a lot of time trying to establish the run. The danger is a defensive touchdown or a couple of short fields making the total disappear quickly. But if both offenses have to drive the length of the field, I like the under. Something around 20-17 makes sense.
Final Picks: New York Giants +3 (-104) | Under 38.5 (-109)
