Leg 1 – Los Angeles Chargers vs Kansas City Chiefs
This game is far more desperate for Kansas City than the records suggest. The Chiefs sit at 6–7 and are staring down potential playoff elimination, while the Chargers are already positioned comfortably at 9–4. That urgency matters — especially at Arrowhead Stadium in cold conditions (17° forecast).

Kansas City owns clear advantages at quarterback and at home. Patrick Mahomes has nearly 3,400 passing yards and continues to protect the football, while the Chargers are dealing with multiple injuries along the offensive line and in the secondary. Justin Herbert has struggled when pressured, and that’s a problem against a Chiefs defense that thrives in these environments.
The Chargers have also been inconsistent away from home against quality opponents, while Kansas City’s last few losses have come against strong teams in close games. Leg 2 – Detroit Lions vs Los Angeles Rams
The Rams have quietly become one of the most dangerous teams in the NFC. At 10–3 with a 5–1 home record, Los Angeles is rolling offensively behind Matthew Stafford, who has thrown 35 TDs to just 4 INTs. This offense is clicking at an elite level.
Detroit can score, but their defense has been vulnerable, especially against high-powered passing attacks. The Lions have allowed 30+ points in multiple recent games, and now they face a Rams team that just put up 45 points last week.
SoFi Stadium has been a major advantage for the Rams, and the matchup favors Los Angeles on both sides of the ball — especially in the passing game with Puka Nacua and a healthy supporting cast.
