Indiana enters the matchup as a heavy favorite with the Fever listed at -10.5 and a moneyline of -575, while Seattle comes in at +425 on the moneyline. The total for the game is set at 176.5 points. Both teams enter this contest with identical 1-2 records, although Indiana has been involved in several high-scoring games early this season. Be sure to check out our free WNBA picks.

Seattle Searching for Stability Early in the Season

The Seattle Storm enter this matchup with a 1-2 overall record and a 1-1 mark on the road. Seattle recently lost to Toronto 86-73 after previously defeating Connecticut 89-82. Earlier in the season, the Storm lost to Golden State 91-80, picked up a 91-81 victory against Portland, and also dropped a narrow 78-76 road contest against Golden State. Seattle has alternated wins and losses throughout the opening stretch of the schedule and now faces a difficult road matchup against a high-scoring Indiana team.

Seattle is averaging 80.7 points per game while allowing 86.3 points per contest. The Storm are shooting 44% from the field and averaging 33.7 rebounds, 16.0 assists, 6.0 blocks, and 6.7 steals per game. Defensively, Seattle has had stretches where it has competed well, but the offense has not consistently matched the production of some of the stronger teams on the schedule so far.

One of the strengths for Seattle has been interior defense and rebounding. The Storm are averaging 6.0 blocks per game while also outrebounding Indiana by a noticeable margin. However, scoring has been more inconsistent. Seattle is averaging just over 80 points per game, and that becomes a challenge against a Fever team that has consistently played in games with high offensive totals.

Indiana Hoping to Capitalize at Home

The Indiana Fever enter Sunday’s game with a 1-2 overall record and an 0-2 home record. Indiana most recently lost a dramatic 104-102 overtime game against Washington after previously defeating Los Angeles 87-78 on the road. Earlier in the schedule, the Fever lost to Dallas 107-104 and later earned a dominant 105-57 victory in another recent matchup before dropping another contest against Dallas 95-80. Indiana has clearly been involved in several fast-paced games and has shown the ability to score at a high level despite the uneven record.

Indiana is averaging 97.7 points per game while allowing 96.3 points per contest. The Fever are shooting 46% from the field and averaging 30.0 rebounds, 22.3 assists, 3.0 blocks, and 8.0 steals per game. The offensive numbers stand out immediately, particularly the scoring average and assist totals, which are both significantly higher than Seattle’s entering this matchup.

The biggest strength for Indiana is offensive production. Averaging nearly 98 points per game gives the Fever one of the stronger scoring profiles entering Sunday’s slate. Indiana is also averaging over 22 assists per contest, showing strong ball movement and offensive rhythm. The weakness has been defense, as opponents are still averaging over 96 points per game against the Fever, which has led to several close contests already this season.

Seattle Storm vs Indiana Fever Picks and Prediction

Seattle Storm vs Indiana Fever Pick

  • Pick: Indiana Fever -10.5

Indiana has the clear edge offensively entering this matchup. The Fever are averaging 97.7 points per game compared to Seattle’s 80.7, and Indiana has consistently pushed opponents into high-scoring games. While Seattle has been stronger in rebounding and shot blocking, the overall offensive pace and scoring ability of Indiana make the Fever the stronger side. Indiana also recently showed its offensive ceiling in games against Washington and Dallas, and the Fever should have opportunities to pull away offensively at home.

Seattle Storm vs Indiana Fever Total Pick

  • Pick: Over 176.5

I am leaning toward the over because Indiana’s games have consistently produced high totals early in the season. The Fever have scored at least 87 points in four of their last five games and have also allowed several opponents to score into the 90s and beyond. Seattle’s offense has been less explosive, but the Storm still scored 89 points against Connecticut and 91 against Portland recently. With Indiana averaging nearly 98 points per game, I think this matchup has a strong chance to finish above the posted number.

Final Score Prediction: Indiana Fever 96 – Seattle Storm 84
