Arsenal vs Everton Picks and Predictions for Saturday October 24 2026

By: Kim Smith Published 10/21/2026, 11:09 PM ET

Arsenal won at Nottingham Forest last Sunday, although it took them 80 minutes to put a shot on target. Noni Madueke came off the bench, had a go, got a deflection, and that was enough for a 1-0 victory. Not exactly beautiful football. Mikel Arteta won’t be complaining about the three points, though.

Everton had a less enjoyable weekend. Chelsea beat them 2-0, with Pedro Neto scoring twice in the second half. The Toffees had been unbeaten in the league before that, so David Moyes now has to see how his side responds. Going to Arsenal isn’t the easiest place to put a defeat behind you.

Arsenal hosts Everton at Emirates Stadium in London on Saturday, October 24, 2026. Kickoff is scheduled for 10:00 AM ET. The Gunners are heavy favorites around -260, Everton are approximately +650, and the draw is around +360. The total is 2.5 goals. Get in on all the action with our free soccer picks.

Arsenal Keep Finding Ways To Win

Arsenal have won six of their first seven league games and sit second behind Manchester City. They’ve scored 11 goals, which is hardly an outrageous total for a side with title ambitions, but they’ve been getting results. Last Sunday’s win over Forest was a good example. Arsenal had plenty of possession and very little to show for it. Then Madueke came on and scored. Three points in the bag. Nobody’s going to remember the poor first half if Arsenal are lifting another trophy in May.

The Gunners have been better at controlling matches than finishing them. Eight of their 11 league goals have come after halftime. That suggests patience, but it also means they’ve been leaving opponents in games longer than necessary. Everton will probably be happy to sit deep and make Arsenal work. Moyes has built plenty of teams that can do that. Arsenal need to move the ball quickly enough to create openings rather than spending an hour passing it around outside the penalty area.

Bukayo Saka remains one of Arsenal’s most dangerous attacking players, while Kai Havertz gives them a target through the middle. Declan Rice does the work that keeps everything organized. Madueke’s winner at Forest was another reminder that Arsenal have useful options on the bench. William Saliba is sidelined with a back problem, Piero Hincapie has an ankle injury, and Christos Tzolis is also out. Martin Zubimendi has been dealing with a fitness concern. Those absences deserve attention, although Arsenal still have plenty of quality.

Everton Need More From Their Attack

Everton are 2-4-1 with ten points from seven matches. Their unbeaten start ended against Chelsea last Saturday, and the 2-0 scoreline was fair enough. The Toffees competed during the first half but couldn’t make their opportunities count. Chelsea scored almost immediately after the break and added another late on. Everton didn’t manage a shot on target in the second half. That’s not a great way to chase a game.

Moyes will know his team can’t afford to waste chances at the Emirates. Arsenal are difficult enough to score against without helping them out. Everton will probably defend in numbers and look for something from a set piece or a quick break. There’s nothing wrong with that approach. But if they fall behind early, they’ll have to come forward, and that’s when Arsenal can start finding more room. Everton haven’t been built to chase matches against the league’s best sides.

Thierno Barry leads the line, with Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall among the players expected to provide the service. James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite are important at the back, while Jordan Pickford will probably have a busy afternoon. Barry had a decent headed opportunity against Chelsea but couldn’t convert it. Everton need somebody to take those chances Saturday because they may not get many.

Arsenal vs Everton Picks and Predictions

Arsenal Moneyline (-260)

Arsenal should win, but -260 isn’t a price I’m excited about. Everton can make matches awkward, and Arsenal have been slow starters. Still, the Gunners have six wins in seven games and a far better collection of attacking players. Everton couldn’t score against Chelsea and now face another strong defense. I expect Arsenal to spend most of the afternoon with the ball and eventually find a way through. The moneyline is my side, though I’d be careful about treating it as a bargain.

Under 2.5 Goals

I’ll take the under. Arsenal have scored 11 in seven matches, and last Sunday’s 1-0 win showed how slowly their games can develop when an opponent sits deep. Everton won’t come to London looking for a shootout. Moyes will want to keep this close and hope for something late. Arsenal could ruin the under with an early couple of goals, but I think this is more likely to be a patient home win than a four-goal afternoon. Arsenal 2, Everton 0.

Final Picks: Arsenal Moneyline (-260) and Under 2.5 Goals
