Brentford vs Nottingham Forest Picks and Predictions for Saturday October 31 2026
Brentford has won only twice in eight league games, and somehow the Bees are sitting sixth. Five draws will do that for you. Nottingham Forest would probably love to trade places with them. Forest is down in 18th, struggling to score, and now has to visit a ground where Brentford can be a real nuisance.
I’m taking Brentford. Not because they’ve been brilliant lately. They haven’t. But Forest has given me even fewer reasons to trust them.
The match is Saturday at Gtech Community Stadium in West London, with kickoff at 11:00 AM ET. Brentford is around +105 on the three-way moneyline, while Over 2.5 goals is roughly -134. There’s a decent argument for both teams scoring, but I think Brentford has the better chance of turning its opportunities into a win. Get into the action with all of our free soccer picks.
Brentford Needs to Stop Settling for Draws
Brentford is 2-5-1 with 11 points. Sixth place looks nice, but the Bees have won just once in their last seven Premier League games. That was the 3-0 victory over Chelsea. They haven’t won any of their last four. It’s frustrating because Brentford has been competitive against good teams, but they keep coming away with one point when three are available.

The Bees have scored 14 league goals and allowed nine. That’s a healthy goal difference for a team with only two victories. Their attack has generally been productive enough, and the defense hasn’t been giving away many cheap goals. But too often they get into a good position and fail to finish the job. Forest has scored only six times in eight matches. That’s the part I like for Brentford. If the Bees get ahead, Forest might not have enough offense to chase them down.
Brentford has been getting contributions from several attacking players rather than relying on one man every week. That’s useful against a Forest defense that will probably try to keep things compact. The Bees need to move the ball quickly and avoid spending the entire afternoon passing sideways outside the penalty area. If they do that, they’ll give Forest exactly the kind of slow game it wants.
Nottingham Forest Can’t Keep Waiting for Goals
Forest is 1-3-4 with six points. One win in eight games. That’s a bad place to be at the end of October, especially when the teams around you are starting to pick up points. Forest has been competitive in stretches, but that doesn’t mean much if the ball never ends up in the net. They’ve scored six league goals. Six.
The defending hasn’t been a complete disaster. Ten goals allowed in eight games isn’t terrible for a side sitting in the bottom three. The problem is that every mistake feels expensive when you’re scoring less than a goal a match. Forest can’t afford to concede early and spend the rest of the afternoon trying to force things. Brentford has already scored more than twice as many league goals, and that difference matters.
Oliver Glasner needs somebody to start finishing chances. Forest has had spells of decent possession and created openings, but the final ball and finishing haven’t been reliable. That’s a tough problem to solve away from home. Brentford will give them chances, particularly if the Bees push forward too aggressively. But until Forest starts putting those opportunities away, I can’t get excited about backing them.
Brentford vs Nottingham Forest Picks and Predictions
Brentford Moneyline (+105)
I’m taking Brentford. The Bees have drawn too many games, and that’s the obvious danger here. Forest could easily turn this into another 1-1 afternoon. But Brentford has scored 14 league goals, Forest has scored six, and the home side has been much better at keeping itself in games. I don’t need Brentford to play its best match of the season. I need it to create a few decent chances and actually finish one or two. Against this Forest attack, that should be enough.
Over 2.5 Goals (-134)
I’ll take Over 2.5, although this is the pick that makes me a little nervous. Forest hasn’t scored much, and if the visitors decide to sit deep for 90 minutes, we could be watching a slow afternoon. But Brentford has been creating chances, and Forest has to start taking some risks eventually. If the Bees score first, the visitors will have to come out. That’s when the game could open up. A 2-1 Brentford win is the result I’m looking for.
