Liverpool vs Brighton & Hove Albion Picks and Predictions for Sunday October 25 2026

By: Kim Smith Published 10/21/2026, 11:29 PM ET

Brighton scored five against Crystal Palace last weekend. Five, and Palace never really looked like stopping them. Diego Gómez even scored from his own half. That’s the kind of afternoon where you start thinking every shot might go in.

Liverpool had a rather different Saturday. They needed a comeback to beat Brentford 2-1, and Brentford played the entire second half with ten men. Alexander Isak eventually got the winner, but Liverpool made hard work of it. Now Brighton arrive at Anfield looking like a team that would quite happily attack anybody.

Liverpool hosts Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield on Sunday, October 25, 2026. Kickoff is scheduled for 10:00 AM ET. Liverpool are around +115 on the three-way moneyline, Brighton are +210, and the draw is +285. The total is 3 goals. Get in on all the action with our free soccer picks.

Liverpool Got The Win, But It Wasn’t Pretty

Liverpool are fifth with 12 points after beating Brentford last Saturday. Keane Lewis-Potter had put Brentford ahead just before halftime, and Liverpool were staring at another disappointing result. Then Yehor Yarmoliuk got himself sent off in first-half stoppage time. Liverpool eventually took advantage. Victor Muñoz equalized in the 62nd minute, and Isak scored eight minutes later. Brentford finished with nine players after another late dismissal. Liverpool got the three points, but there was plenty to complain about.

The Reds have been dangerous when they get their attacking players moving, but they’re not always particularly convincing at the back. Manchester City beat them 3-0 the previous weekend, and Brentford managed to take the lead despite spending much of the match under pressure. Brighton won’t need an invitation to attack. Liverpool have to move the ball quickly enough to keep Brighton defending, because this could get uncomfortable if the visitors start finding room between midfield and defense.

Isak has five league goals and scored the winner against Brentford after returning from injury. Florian Wirtz created nine chances in that match, which is an extraordinary number, and Bradley Barcola caused problems on the left. Liverpool do have selection concerns. Ryan Gravenberch is suspended, while Dominik Szoboszlai and Jeremie Frimpong both suffered injuries against Brentford. Hugo Ekitike, Giovanni Leoni, and Conor Bradley are also sidelined. That’s quite a bit of disruption for a team preparing to face one of the league’s more confident attacking sides.

Brighton Are Coming Off A Five-Goal Afternoon

Brighton beat Crystal Palace 5-0 last Sunday, and they didn’t waste any time getting started. An own goal opened the scoring, Gómez added his remarkable long-range effort, and Yasin Ayari made it 3-0 inside ten minutes. Charalampos Kostoulas and Jack Hinshelwood added second-half goals. Palace were dreadful, but Brighton still deserve credit for taking advantage. Plenty of teams get an early lead and ease off. Brighton kept looking for more.

That win moved Brighton into third place, and they’ve been playing with confidence. They move the ball well and aren’t afraid to get players forward. The question Sunday is whether they can do that at Anfield without leaving too much space behind them. Liverpool have Isak, Wirtz, and Barcola waiting for exactly those opportunities. Brighton can’t expect Liverpool to defend as badly as Palace did, either. They’ll have to work harder for their chances.

Kostoulas has three league goals from 18 shots, while Gómez has created eight chances and is clearly willing to shoot from distance. Brighton have some injuries of their own. Kaoru Mitoma, Yankuba Minteh, Evan Ferguson, Stefanos Tzimas, Femi Azeez, and Zadok Yohanna have been listed as unavailable. Mats Wieffer and Pascal Struijk are fitness doubts. Those missing attackers matter, even after a five-goal performance. Brighton’s starting eleven could look different from the one that embarrassed Palace.

Liverpool vs Brighton & Hove Albion Picks and Predictions

Liverpool Moneyline (+115)

I’ll take Liverpool, but this isn’t a comfortable pick. Brighton are third and just scored five. Liverpool needed a man advantage to turn around their match at Brentford. Still, Anfield makes a difference, and Isak looks sharp after returning from injury. Wirtz is creating chances, Barcola is dangerous out wide, and Liverpool have enough attacking quality to punish Brighton when they push forward. At +115, I’m willing to back the home side. I wouldn’t be nearly as interested if Liverpool were heavy favorites.

Over 3 Goals (-112)

I’m leaning over 3, with the push protection if exactly three are scored. Brighton just scored five, Liverpool have plenty of attacking talent, and neither side has been entirely convincing defensively. Brighton could make Liverpool work for this, especially if the Reds are missing players in midfield and defense. I expect chances at both ends rather than a quiet afternoon. Liverpool 3, Brighton 2.

Final Picks: Liverpool Moneyline (+115) and Over 3 Goals (-112)
