Starting Quarterbacks
Dallas will once again turn to Austin Reed at quarterback after he has thrown for 1,761 passing yards with 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions this season. Reed currently ranks near the top of the league in passing production and touchdowns despite Dallas struggling during its recent stretch of games. On the other side, St. Louis is expected to start Luis Perez, who has thrown for 744 passing yards with three touchdowns and four interceptions. Perez has not posted the same passing numbers as Reed, but St. Louis has continued to win games behind a balanced approach and stronger defensive play overall.
Renegades Searching for Answers Late in the Season
Dallas enters this matchup with a 3-6 overall record and currently sits near the bottom of the league standings after dropping six consecutive games. The Renegades recently lost to Louisville, Orlando, Birmingham, DC, and Louisville again during this difficult stretch. Several of those losses have come by multiple possessions, including a 47-25 defeat against Louisville and a 24-6 loss against DC. Dallas has continued to score at a respectable level in some games, but defensive struggles have consistently put the team in difficult situations.
The Renegades are averaging 22.7 points per game while allowing 27.0 points per contest, both of which stand out entering this matchup. Dallas averages 197.9 passing yards and 96.8 rushing yards per game offensively. Defensively, the Renegades are surrendering 193.3 passing yards and 110.8 rushing yards per game. Those defensive numbers have made it difficult for Dallas to slow opposing offenses throughout the season.

One major weakness for Dallas has been overall defensive consistency. Allowing 27.0 points per game is one of the highest marks among the teams in this matchup, and the Renegades have surrendered at least 31 points in three of their last five games. Even though the offense has remained competitive at times, the inability to consistently contain opponents has played a major role in the current losing streak.
Battlehawks Building Momentum Toward the Postseason
St. Louis enters Friday night with a strong 6-3 overall record and has already clinched a playoff spot. The Battlehawks recently defeated Houston, Columbus, Louisville, and Orlando over their last five games while suffering only one loss during that stretch. St. Louis has won four of its last five games overall and continues to play some of its best football late in the season. The Battlehawks also defeated Dallas 12-6 earlier this year, giving them confidence entering this rematch at home.
The Battlehawks are averaging 21.8 points per game while allowing only 19.7 points per contest. St. Louis averages 198.8 passing yards and 87.4 rushing yards per game offensively. Defensively, the Battlehawks have been excellent against both the pass and the run, allowing just 161.7 passing yards and 84.6 rushing yards per game. Those defensive numbers are among the strongest in this matchup and have helped St. Louis maintain consistency throughout the season.
The biggest strength for St. Louis has clearly been defense. The Battlehawks are allowing fewer than 20 points per game while also limiting opponents to under 85 rushing yards per contest. That defensive balance has helped St. Louis win games even when the offense has not produced huge scoring totals. Against a Dallas team that has struggled during its current skid, the Battlehawks appear to have a significant edge on that side of the ball.
Dallas Renegades vs St. Louis Battlehawks Picks and Prediction
Dallas Renegades vs St. Louis Battlehawks Pick
- Pick: St. Louis Battlehawks -4.5
St. Louis enters this matchup in far better form than Dallas. The Battlehawks have won four of their last five games while Dallas has lost six straight. St. Louis also owns the stronger defensive numbers across the board, allowing only 19.7 points per game compared to the 27.0 points allowed by the Renegades. The Battlehawks already defeated Dallas earlier this season and now return home with momentum on their side. I think St. Louis controls this game with defense and pulls away late.
Dallas Renegades vs St. Louis Battlehawks Total Pick
- Pick: Under 46.5
I’m leaning toward the under because St. Louis has consistently played lower-scoring games throughout the season. Four of the Battlehawks’ last five games have stayed under the total, including recent results of 21-15, 16-23, and 16-3. St. Louis relies heavily on its defense, and Dallas has struggled offensively during several recent losses. Even though the Renegades can move the ball through the air, I think the Battlehawks defense limits scoring opportunities enough to keep this game below the posted number.
Final Score Prediction: St. Louis Battlehawks 24 – Dallas Renegades 17
