Las Vegas Aces Preview
A’ja Wilson continues to dominate the postseason, averaging 25.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game. Jackie Young has added 20.6 points while shooting 52% from the field. Chelsea Gray controls the pace with 7.8 assists per game and has hit 44% of her threes. Together, the three carried Las Vegas through late-game stretches in both Finals wins.
The Aces have played calm, steady basketball. Las Vegas is averaging just over 11 turnovers per game and has shot 48% as a team in the playoffs. Dana Evans has provided timely scoring off the bench at 8.5 points per game, and NaLyssa Smith has chipped in with effective shooting inside. With Wilson anchoring both ends, Las Vegas has looked confident and in control heading into Game 3.
Phoenix Mercury Preview
Phoenix needs a stronger start to stay in this series. Satou Sabally leads the team in scoring, averaging 18.4 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, while Alyssa Thomas nearly averages a triple-double with 17.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 8.7 assists. Kahleah Copper has added 16.6 points, but the Mercury are shooting just 41% from the field in the postseason.
The Mercury have played the best when pushing the pace. Thomas’ passing helps find open shooters, and Sabally’s ability to shoot outside stretches the floor, creating lanes for Copper to drive to the basket. Rebounding will be key. Phoenix holds a small advantage on the glass but must turn those boards into points. Sabally’s health remains a concern, but she’s expected to play in Game 3.
Las Vegas Aces vs Phoenix Mercury Prediction
Las Vegas has performed better late in both games, with Wilson’s inside scoring and Gray’s ball control. Phoenix has shot well and will remain close at home, but the Aces have limited turnovers and will be too much at both ends for Phoenix to overcome. The Aces will take a commanding 3-0 with a win on Wednesday. Final Score Prediction: Las Vegas Aces win and cover ATS 87–82.
