The Los Angeles Sparks (17-20) head to Seattle to face the Storm (22-19), coming off a tough one-point home loss to the Indiana Fever. The Sparks have dropped two straight and sit just below .500 as the regular season winds down. Seattle is trending in the opposite direction after a 10-point win over the Chicago Sky, giving the Storm back-to-back victories and a bit of momentum on home court. Los Angeles has been inconsistent over its last five games, alternating wins and losses until back-to-back defeats this week. The Sparks' recent struggles have been on offense, failing to crack 85 points in three of the last five. Kelsey Plum continues to lead the way with 20.1 points per game while shooting 43.3% from the floor. Rickea Jackson is questionable for this one, which would be a blow to the Sparks' scoring depth.

Defensively, the Sparks have not been able to hold teams under 88 points often, allowing 88.3 points per game and ranking among the lower third in the league in team defense. They’re giving up a high shooting percentage and rank behind Seattle in both steals and blocks. Jewell Loyd and Nneka Ogwumike have driven the offense, with Ogwumike averaging 18.2 points on 52.1% shooting. The Storm are moving the ball well, posting 21.4 assists per game and finding consistent production across the starting five, especially during this recent surge.
