The Phoenix Mercury visit the Minnesota Lynx for Game 2 of the best-of-five semifinals on Tuesday at Target Center with the tip-off at 7:30 PM ET on ESPN. Minnesota took Game 1 on Sunday, 82-69, behind 23 points from Napheesa Collier, while Satou Sabally led Phoenix with 20 points. Phoenix Mercury Preview

Forward Satou Sabally paced the Mercury in Game 1 with 20 points and was active on both ends. Alyssa Thomas added steady scoring and rebounding while also leading Phoenix in assists. Kahleah Copper gave the Mercury a boost on the perimeter, but the team shot under 44% from the floor and struggled from three-point territory.

Phoenix thrives when Thomas and Sabally can create in transition by clearing the glass and not allowing second looks by Minnesota. To even the series, the Mercury must move the ball more fluidly and avoid long scoring droughts.

Minnesota Lynx

Forward Napheesa Collier dominated in Game 1 with 23 points and seven rebounds, setting the tone from the opening tip. Kayla McBride added scoring from the perimeter, and Courtney Williams controlled the floor with her passing and defense.

The Lynx defense was sharp, holding Phoenix under 70 points while forcing tough shots in the paint. Minnesota’s home dominance was displayed once again, as they built momentum with crisp ball movement and balanced scoring.

Phoenix has talent in Sabally, Thomas, and Copper, but Minnesota’s combination of Collier’s scoring and McBride’s outside shooting looks too strong, especially at home. Unless the Mercury find consistent offense, the Lynx will win Game 2 and take a commanding 2-0 lead as the series moves to Phoenix. Final Score Prediction: Minnesota Lynx win 83-72.
