Coco Gauff Toronto Chances Sit at 7%

Gauff entered Wednesday with a 7% implied probability of winning the National Bank Open on Polymarket.

The market placed her in the same range as Jessica Pegula and Mirra Andreeva. Aryna Sabalenka led the title market at 26%, followed by Elena Rybakina at 12%, Iga Swiatek at 11% and Linda Noskova at 9%.

Gauff’s contract had generated approximately $269 in trading volume, while the complete Toronto winner market had attracted about $14,870.

The available Buy Yes price on Gauff was 11 cents when checked. That price would return $1 if she wins the tournament and zero if another player takes the title.

Those numbers make Gauff a clear contender without placing her alongside Sabalenka as the tournament favorite.

Gauff Begins Her Title Bid Against Kayla Day

Gauff’s first Toronto test comes against American qualifier Kayla Day in the Round of 64.

Day earned her place in the main draw through qualifying before defeating Diane Parry in three sets. She recovered from a 5-3 deficit in the deciding set to complete a 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 victory.

That comeback gives Day experience in the Toronto conditions, but Wednesday represents a major increase in difficulty. She faces the No. 4 seed and a player expected to compete deep into the second week.

Gauff should be able to create pressure with her return game and superior defensive coverage. Day will need to serve accurately, attack early and keep Gauff from settling into extended rallies.

The result matters beyond determining who advances. A convincing start could push Gauff’s title probability higher as the draw narrows. A difficult match marked by serving problems or physical concerns could move traders in the opposite direction.

Why Gauff Is a Toronto Title Contender

Gauff enters the North American hard-court swing with the tools required to challenge for another major tournament title.

Her movement and return game make her difficult to overwhelm from the baseline. She can extend points, recover from defensive positions and create break opportunities even when her own serve is inconsistent.

Those strengths are especially valuable across a long WTA 1000 event. Players must win several matches against different styles, and Gauff has enough variety to survive when she is not producing her best tennis.

The main question remains her serve. Gauff can overcome an uneven service performance against many opponents because of her ability to break back, but the margin becomes much smaller against the strongest players in the Toronto field.

A controlled opening match against Day would strengthen her title outlook. It would allow Gauff to conserve energy while building confidence ahead of more difficult rounds.

Gauff Faces a Difficult Toronto Draw

Advancing past Day would only begin Gauff’s path toward the championship.

Wimbledon champion Linda Noskova is positioned as a potential quarterfinal opponent. Noskova’s aggressive serving and first-strike power would create a much different test from the one Gauff faces Wednesday.

Mirra Andreeva is another leading player in Gauff’s half of the draw, while Rybakina, Pegula, Swiatek and Sabalenka remain among the most dangerous contenders elsewhere in the bracket.

The strength of the field helps explain why Gauff’s title probability remains at 7% despite her favorable opening matchup. She may be strongly positioned to advance Wednesday while still facing several difficult steps before reaching the final.

Results elsewhere can also change the picture quickly. The elimination of a leading contender could create a clearer route and raise Gauff’s contract price without any major change in her own performance.

What Could Move Coco Gauff’s Polymarket Price?

Wednesday’s performance against Day is the most immediate factor affecting Gauff’s Toronto title market.

A comfortable victory with a stable serving performance could attract more support. Traders would see a leading contender moving through her opening match without unnecessary court time or visible concerns.

A three-set struggle could have the opposite effect. Gauff would still advance with a win, but repeated double faults or difficulty controlling rallies could lower confidence before the draw becomes more demanding.

The contract will also respond to other results. Losses by Sabalenka, Rybakina, Swiatek or Noskova could improve Gauff’s path and increase her implied probability.

Because the tournament market remains relatively small, contract prices may move quickly when new results or lineup developments arrive.

How the WTA Toronto Winner Market Resolves

The Polymarket contract resolves according to the winner of the 2026 National Bank Open women’s singles tournament.

A Coco Gauff Yes contract settles at $1 if she is declared the champion. It settles at zero if another player wins.

If the tournament is postponed beyond August 27 at 11:59 p.m. ET, canceled or completed without a declared winner before that deadline, the contract will resolve to “Other.”

Official information from the tournament organizer, the WTA or the National Bank Open will serve as the primary resolution source. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Users should review the complete market rules before purchasing a contract because displayed probabilities and available prices can change throughout the tournament.

Coco Gauff WTA Toronto Outlook

Gauff begins her Toronto title challenge with a favorable matchup and a legitimate opportunity to move deeper into the tournament.

Day has already shown resilience by advancing through qualifying and surviving a difficult first-round match. Gauff nevertheless holds major advantages in movement, returning and experience against elite competition.

The broader title race remains more difficult to assess. Gauff has the game to win the National Bank Open, but Sabalenka currently commands the strongest market support and several other contenders sit between Gauff and the championship.

Wednesday’s match should provide the first indication of whether Gauff is ready to outperform her current 7% title probability.

Eligible new users can follow the Toronto winner market while accessing the $20 trading bonus with Polymarket promo code PICKS2026. Deposit at least $10 and complete the required qualifying trade to receive the promotional credit, subject to the current terms and eligibility requirements.
