DWCS Week 1: Jon Kunneman at 67% | Polymarket Promo Code

By: Alex MacMillan Published 08/11/2026, 06:42 PM ET

Dana White's Contender Series returns Tuesday for the start of its 10th season, and Polymarket traders have undefeated middleweight Jon Kunneman at 67% to beat LFA champion Joe Kropschot in DWCS Week 1.

Kropschot is trading at 34%, leaving Kunneman as a clear but far from overwhelming favorite in one of the most competitive markets on Tuesday's five-fight card. The matchup has attracted roughly $38,000 in trading volume, the most of any DWCS Week 1 fight currently displayed on Polymarket's UFC page.

The fight arrives with more than a win or loss at stake. Dana White's Contender Series is built around prospects competing for the chance to earn UFC contracts, and Season 10 begins Tuesday night with five bouts streaming on Paramount+.

DWCS Week 1 Market Has Jon Kunneman at 67%

Polymarket currently prices Kunneman at 67% to defeat Kropschot, while the LFA champion sits at 34%.

That makes Kunneman the favorite, but this is not one of the severely one-sided markets elsewhere on the card.

Bilal Hasan is trading around 95% against Mridul Saikia, while former NFL player Anthony Wint is at 91% against Matt Adams. Ananias Mulumba is at 57% against Tom Pagliarulo, and Fabrizio Escarrega sits at 56% against Abe Alsaghir.

The Kunneman-Kropschot matchup stands out because it combines a meaningful favorite with substantially more trading activity than the other DWCS fights currently listed.

Why Polymarket Favors Jon Kunneman

Kunneman brings a perfect 10-0 professional record into his first actual DWCS appearance.

The 27-year-old middleweight has never needed the judges. His 10 victories include seven submissions and three knockouts, with all 10 opponents finished inside the first two rounds. His last nine victories have all ended in Round 1.

That finishing record gives Kunneman an obvious profile for the Contender Series format.

His recent run includes three consecutive first-round submissions, while his overall record shows that he can finish opponents both on the ground and with strikes. ESPN lists seven submission victories and three wins by knockout or TKO.

Kunneman was originally scheduled to appear on DWCS last year before an injury forced him out, making Tuesday his delayed opportunity to turn an unbeaten regional record into a UFC contract.

Joe Kropschot Brings an LFA Title to DWCS

The 34% market price does not make Kropschot an ordinary regional underdog.

He enters at 8-3 and owns the LFA middleweight championship after submitting previously unbeaten David Allakhverdiev with a rear-naked choke in February.

Kropschot has six submission victories among his eight professional wins and comes into DWCS riding a four-fight winning streak. All four victories during that run came by stoppage.

That gives Tuesday's fight an unusual champion-versus-champion quality for a Contender Series opener.

Kunneman arrives undefeated with a perfect finishing record. Kropschot arrives carrying an LFA belt and considerably more experience dealing with adversity inside professional fights.

Dana White's Contender Series Opens Season 10

Tuesday marks the start of the historic 10th season of Dana White's Contender Series.

The UFC has scheduled 10 Tuesday-night episodes, with the Aug. 11 premiere featuring five fights and streaming exclusively on Paramount+ beginning at 8 p.m. ET.

The series has become one of the UFC's primary development pipelines.

According to the UFC, more than 300 contracts were awarded across the first nine seasons and Dana White's Contender Series: Brazil. The alumni list includes UFC champions Sean O'Malley, Jamahal Hill, Jack Della Maddalena and Carlos Ulberg, along with numerous current contenders.

That is the larger context behind Tuesday's market.

Kunneman and Kropschot are not simply competing for another regional win. A strong performance can immediately change the winner's career trajectory.

How the DWCS Polymarket Market Works

Polymarket prices sports outcomes between 0 and 100 cents, with the market price representing the implied probability assigned by traders.

A fighter trading at 67% is therefore being priced at roughly a 67% probability of winning at that moment. Prices continue changing as traders buy and sell positions before the event.

Winning shares ultimately pay $1 when a market resolves in their favor, while losing shares settle at zero.

The specific Kunneman-Kropschot contract rules should be reviewed before trading, particularly provisions covering cancellations, postponements, draws or other unusual outcomes.

DWCS Week 1 Outlook

The current market makes Kunneman the fighter to beat without treating the matchup as a foregone conclusion.

His 67% Polymarket price reflects the value traders are placing on a 10-0 record, 100% professional finishing rate and nine consecutive first-round stoppages.

Kropschot's 34% side reflects a legitimate challenger rather than a developmental mismatch. He owns an LFA championship, has won four straight fights by finish and has six professional submission victories of his own.

For DWCS Week 1, that combination makes Kunneman-Kropschot the most interesting intersection of event-level search interest, competitive uncertainty and active prediction-market trading on Tuesday's card.
