Golden Knights Have 69% Chance to Beat Blackhawks
Kalshi's current game market makes Vegas the clear favorite Tuesday night:

That is one of the widest winner probabilities on the opening-night board.
Vegas begins its 10th NHL season at home and enters the year as a legitimate Western Conference contender.
Chicago arrives in a much different position. The Blackhawks are still building around a young roster and now begin the season without Bedard available.

Connor Bedard Is Out for Opening Night
The biggest personnel development surrounding the matchup is Bedard's absence.
Chicago announced Monday that Bedard will begin the season on an injured/non-roster designation because of an upper-body injury.
The 21-year-old has been the centerpiece of Chicago's rebuild since being selected first overall in the 2023 NHL Draft.
He led the Blackhawks in scoring in each of his first three seasons and entered the summer as the player most capable of changing a game on his own.
Chicago now has to begin the 2026-27 schedule without him.
The Blackhawks still have veterans and younger forwards capable of producing offense, but removing Bedard changes the matchup substantially against a deep Vegas roster.
Patrick Kane Returns to Blackhawks
Chicago's opening-night roster does include one familiar name.
Patrick Kane is back with the Blackhawks after returning to the organization where he spent the first 16 seasons of his NHL career.
Kane joins a forward group that also includes Tyler Bertuzzi, Ryan Donato, Oliver Moore, Frank Nazar and Teuvo Teravainen.
His return gives Chicago another experienced offensive creator while Bedard is unavailable.
The challenge is immediate.
Vegas has spent much of the past several seasons among the Western Conference's strongest teams, and Tuesday begins with the Golden Knights holding nearly a 70% win probability on Kalshi.
Blackhawks vs Golden Knights Total Is Moving Higher
The winner market is not the only place where Chicago-Vegas is drawing attention.
Kalshi's total-goals board currently gives Over 4.5 goals a 76% probability.
That market is up approximately six percentage points.
Over 5.5 goals is around 56%, while Over 6.5 sits closer to 44%.
That creates a fairly clear range for current expectations.
Traders strongly expect at least five combined goals, while six or more is closer to a coin flip.
The 4.5-goal threshold has produced the most visible movement.

The Golden Knights begin their milestone 10th season at T-Mobile Arena.
