A huge pitching mismatch justifies laying a short road price.

Astros starter Brad Peacock has allowed 15 runs in his last two starts spanning 8 2/3 innings. He's been bad all season with a 5.44 ERA. Houston is 0-8 the past eight times Peacock has pitched on normal four days rest.

Peacock is facing a motivated lefty Tommy Milone, making his first start for Minnesota. Milone was 6-0 with a 2.62 ERA in 11 starts for Oakland prior to being traded to the Twins, which just goes to show how deep the A's pitching staff is. The Astros are 15-21 facing southpaws.

The Twins expect to get back All-Star Joe Maurer, too, today.
