Schule's MLB AFTERNOON EXECUTIONER - *EARLY START*
(MLB) Pittsburgh vs. Chi Cubs, 09/25/2015 10:20 AM, Score: 3 - 2
Money Line: 111.00 Pittsburgh (Away)
Result: Win
This is a 10* play on the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Cubs host the Pirates at Wrigley this afternoon, with a chance to clinch their first playoff birth since 2008. They may have to put the celebrations on hold though, as the Pirates still have plenty to play for, with a slim chance to catch the Cardinals and far better shot at ensuring home field advantage in a Wild Card game.

Gerrit Cole will toe the slab for the visitors, and this looks like a good spot for the southpaw. Cole (17-8, 2.64 ERA) allowed three runs on six hits over seven innings in a win over the Dodgers in LA his last time out. He's 9-5 with a 2.46 ERA on the road, and 8-1 with a 2.07 ERA in day games. He's pitched very well against the Cubs, going 1-1 with a 2.45 ERA in three starts, and winning his only trip to Wrigley.

The Cubs hand the ball to Jon Lester, who has had his moments, but has not lived up to expectations after signing a big contract. Lester (10-11, 3.46 ERA) allowed four runs on six hits and three walks over six innings in a home loss to St. Louis his last time out. He's 7-8 with a 3.66 ERA in 19 starts at Wrigley this season.

Starling Marte is 16-for-32 (.500) with a pair of home runs and nine RBIs over the last seven days, and he's 3-for-7 lifetime versus Lester.

Take PIT.
