The Los Angeles Kings came into this week riding a seven-game winning streak but they've dropped two of three to start the week. The Florida Panthers are doing even worse though coming off four consecutive losses, the last two here in California against Anaheim and San Jose. I think they have to leave Staples Center without the two points as well. The Kings have won six straight meetings with the Panthers at Los Angeles and 10 of the last 12 meetings overall. Their star netminder Jonathan Quick is red hot and 4-0-0 with a 1.25 GAA against the Panthers at home. Bad news for Florida who has mustered only six goals over its skid. The Panthers are third on the power play in the league at 26.2% but have converted on only two of their last 15 chances to play with the extra skater and the Kings penalty kill ranks among the top third in the league.
