The Red Raiders are a team that scares many bettors. It doesn't scare us though. The Red Raiders lead the nation in passing yards per game (544) and are second to only Louisville in both scoring (55.2 points per game) and total offense (649.8 yards per game). Quarterback Patrick Mahomes leads the nation in passing yards per game (454.8) and despite being bother by a sore shoulder, he has completed 166 of 228 passes for 2,274 yards, 20 touchdowns and just four interceptions. Mahomes next opponent, West Virginia has been winning lately courtesy of their defense, but there is absolutely no way that keeps up. It won't matter that the Mountaineers had an extra week to prepare for this game since they are absolutely terrible when they play at Jones Stadium. In their past nine games in Lubbock, the Mountaineers have surrendered 60.1 points per game and 668 yards per game. That is god-awful. West Virginia is 1-5 ATS in their last six games and 1-6 ATS in their last six games on the road. Compare that to Texas Tech who is 4-1 ATS in its last five games and 4-1 SU and ATS in its last five home games, this has the makings of another one of those high-scoring Red Raider wins.
