This is a 10* SUPER DOG PLAY on the Seattle Mariners.
Both teams are struggling this season. The Rangers enter having lost five straight. The Mariners sit at the bottom of their division and after breaking a lengthy losing streak with a win on Wednesday, they predictably fell 6-1 vs. Kershaw and the Dodgers in the finale on Thursday.
One of these struggling teams has to rise to the top tonight though and in my opinion, the home side at this price, with what I believe to be the superior starter on the mound for it.
Kolby Allard (0-1, 5.25 ERA) was rocked for six runs off eight hits at Coors Field in his last start for the Rangers.
Nick Margevicius (0-1, 3.14) enters off a hard luck loss vs. the Astros on Saturday, allowing two runs and striking out three over six innings of work.
Recent form, combined with the home field advantage here make Margevicius and the MARINERS the correct call in my opinion!
