The Tuesday MLB schedule will get started with a matchup between the Los Angeles Angels and the Cleveland Guardians from Progressive Field. Last night, Los Angeles OF Jo Adell went 2-for-4 with an RBI during a 7-2 road loss against Cleveland.

Rookie right-hander Walbert Urena (1-3 3.22 ERA) will make his fifth career major league start for the Angels. Control has been an issue for Urena, who has walked 16 batters and allowed 19 hits through 22 plus innings.

Guardians Preview

The Cleveland Guardians are two games above .500 at home and hold a 1.5 game lead for the top spot in the AL Central Division. During Monday’s home victory, 1B Kyle Manzardo and OF Daniel Schneemann scored a pair of runs each to spark the Cleveland offense. SP Joey Cantillo (3-1) scattered five hits across six shutout frames to earn the win for the Guardians (22-21).

Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt will give the nod to twenty-six year old righty Slade Cecconi (2-4 6.15 ERA) on Tuesday. Last time out, Cecconi (5.1 IP) gave up six hits and two runs during an 8-5 road victory against Kansas City.
