Thirty-seven year old righty Merrill Kelly (8-8 4.86 ERA) is still providing quality innings for the Arizona rotation. Last time out, Kelly (5.2 IP) allowed just one unearned run and fanned five batters during a 3-2 road loss against Pittsburgh.

Guardians Preview

The Cleveland Guardians have dropped eight of their previous 11 games and trail Chicago by three games for the top spot in the AL Central Division. During Saturday’s home loss, Cleveland jumped out to a lead in the opening frame on a Rhys Hoskins two-run blast. OF Steven Kwan went 3-for-5 with a pair of RBIs. RP Hunter Gaddis was rocked four four runs in the seventh inning and took the loss for the Guardians (56-56), who fell to 27-28 at home.

Twenty-seven year old righty Gavin Williams (10-6 3.71 ERA) was one of the biggest American League All-Star snubs. Through 133 plus innings, Williams ranks third in the majors with 168 strikeouts and owns a sparkling 1.07 WHIP.
