Thirty year old right-hander Aaron Civale (3-1 2.95 ERA) will take the mound for the Athletics in this matchup. Last time out, Civale (6 IP) scattered seven hits and allowed one run during a 7-1 home victory versus Cleveland.

Orioles Preview

The Baltimore Orioles have dropped seven of their last 11 games and are 9.5 games out of first place in the AL East Division standings. During Friday’s home loss, Baltimore C Adley Rutschman went 2-for-3 with a home run and scored twice. SP Kyle Bradish (1-5) fanned ten batters in seven innings and took the loss for the Orioles (17-22), who fell to 9-10 at home.

Baltimore manager Craig Albernaz will give the nod to twenty-six year old righty Shane Baz (1-3 4.99 ERA) on Saturday. In his last start, Baz (5.2 IP) issued five walks and gave up six runs (5 ER) during an ugly 12-1 road loss against New York.
