On Sunday, DH Jonah Heim hit a grand slam and added a two-run single during a 9-8 home loss versus Miami. The Athletics scored all eight runs in the final two innings.

Twenty-seven year old righty J.T. Ginn (7-4 3.04 ERA) will take the mound for the Athletics in this matchup. The Athletics have won four of Ginn’s previous five starts and he has allowed 14 runs (12 ER) over his last 29 innings.

Tigers Preview

The Detroit Tigers are two games above .500 at home and are sitting in fourth place in the AL Central Division standings. On Sunday, OF Riley Greene fell a double short of the cycle and drove in four runs to lead Detroit to a 6-3 road victory against Texas. Rookie SS Kevin McGonigle added a pair of hits and scored a run for the Tigers (40-50), who are a disappointing 7.5 games out of first place.

Two-time reigning American League Cy Young Award winner Tarik Skubal (4-4 3.15 ERA) will get the ball for the Tigers on Tuesday. Last time out, Skubal (6 IP) allowed two runs (1 ER) and fanned nine batters during a 9-3 road victory against New York.
