Red Sox Preview

The Boston Red Sox have dropped 18 of their first 27 home games and are trapped in the AL East Division basement. During Wednesday’s home victory, leadoff hitter Jarren Duran went 4-for-5 with a home run and scored twice to spark the Boston offense. OF Ceddanne Rafaela contributed three hits and two RBIs for the Red Sox (23-31).

The Red Sox will counter with twenty-three year old lefty Payton Tolle (2-2 2.45 ERA) in the series finale. Last time out, Tolle (6 IP) gave up three runs and fanned nine batters during an 8-6 home loss versus Minnesota.
