In Sunday afternoon MLB interleague action, the Atlanta Braves and the Detroit Tigers will wrap up their weekend series from Comerica Park. Be ready for the baseball season with all of our MLB predictions. The Braves (72-83) have reeled off seven straight victories and will miss the postseason for the first time since 2017. On Saturday, SS Nacho Alvarez Jr. went 3-for-4 with a pair of home runs and three RBIs to power Atlanta to a 6-5 road victory.

Twenty-six year old righty Spencer Strider (6-13 4.64 ERA) has struggled to regain his form for the Braves. Through 114 plus innings, Strider has served up 19 long balls and has retired 120 batters by strikes.

Tigers Preview

The Detroit Tigers are looking to snap a five-game losing streak and are clinging to a 1.5 game lead over Cleveland for the top spot in the AL Central Division. During yesterday’s home loss, Detroit 1B Spencer Torkelson went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs. DH Jahmai Jones collected three hits and scored twice for the Tigers (85-70), who fell to 46-34 at home.

Detroit skipper A.J. Hinch will turn to former number one overall draft pick Casey Mize (14-5 3.88 ERA) on Sunday. In his last start, Mize (5.1 IP) gave up three runs and fanned eight batters during a 7-5 home loss versus Cleveland.
