Last night, Ronald Acuna Jr. homered twice and drove in three runs to power Atlanta to a 6-0 home victory versus Miami. Matt Olson added his 32nd round tripper and scored three times for the Braves.

Thirty-seven year old southpaw Chris Sale (12-6 2.08 ERA) will head to the hill for the Braves in this contest. Sale ranks second in the National League Cy Young Award odds. Through 117 innings, Sale has fanned 143 batters and ranks seventh in the majors with a 1.02 WHIP.

Yankees Preview

The New York Yankees have split their previous ten games and are sitting atop the American League Wild Card standings. On Wednesday, New York batters went 0-for-10 with runners in scoring position and left 11 men on base during a 3-1 home loss versus St. Louis. SP Will Warren (8-6) gave up three runs in five plus innings and took the loss for the Yankees (64-51), who fell to 27-25 at home.

New York manager Aaron Boone will give the nod to thirty-two year old lefty Max Fried (4-3 3.12 ERA) on Friday. Fried spent his first eight seasons in Atlanta and is a three-time All-Star. Last time out, Fried (5.2 IP) allowed one run and struck out seven batters during a 5-2 road loss against the Chicago Cubs.
