Thirty-one year old righty Tyler Mahle (5-10 4.25 ERA) will make his sixth start of the year for the Braves. Mahle, who was acquired in a trade deadline deal from San Francisco, has allowed just five runs across 30 plus frames.

Phillies Preview

The Philadelphia Phillies have won seven of their previous 11 games and are a half-game back of Chicago for the top spot in the National League Wild Card standings. During Saturday’s home victory, All-Star DH Kyle Schwarber crushed his major league leading 41st home run and scored twice to spark the Philadelphia offense. 2B Luis Arraez went 2-for-4 and drove in a run for the Phillies (80-62), who improved to 39-31 at home.

The Phillies will counter with thirty-three year old righty Aaron Nola (6-10 4.93 ERA) on Sunday. In his last start, Nola (5 IP) limited Arizona to five hits and one run during a 2-1 road victory. On the year, Nola has surrendered 32 long balls in 148 innings.
