DH Brandon Lowe contributed three hits and scored twice for the Pirates (47-45), who improved to 24-22 at home.
Twenty-four year old righty Jared Jones (1-1 5.28 ERA) will make his eighth start of the year for the Pirates. Through 29 innings of work, Jones has surrendered five long balls and struck out 31 batters while posting a 1.38 WHIP.
