Twenty-seven year old righty Shane Baz (4-9 4.19 ERA) has pitched better than his numbers would indicate for the Orioles. In his last start, Baz (4.2 IP) gave up two runs and struck out nine batters during an 8-2 home victory versus Kansas City.

Red Sox Preview

The Boston Red Sox have reeled off 13 consecutive victories and hold a one-game lead over Seattle in the race for the final American League Wild Card spot. On Sunday, 1B Willson Contreras homered and scored twice to lead Boston to a 6-1 home victory versus Tampa Bay. All-Star SP Sonny Gray (12-1) allowed one run in six innings to earn the win for the Red Sox (50-48), who improved to 21-27 at home.

The Red Sox will look to keep their winning ways going with twenty-three year old lefty Payton Tolle (5-6 3.11 ERA) on Monday. Through 84 innings of work, Tolle has retired 87 batters by strikes and sports a miniscule 1.07 WHIP.
