On Sunday, Jarren Duran led off with a home run and scored twice to spark Boston to a 9-4 road triumph against Cleveland. OF Wilyer Abreu went 2-for-4 and drove in a pair of runs for the Red Sox, who improved to 25-33 overall.

The Red Sox will counter with twenty-four year old left-hander Connelly Early (5-2 2.95 ERA) in the series opener. In his last start, Early fired seven shutout frames and fanned seven batters during an 8-0 home victory versus Atlanta.
