The New York Yankees are riding a five-game winning streak and have moved into a tie with Toronto for first place. Last night, DH Giancarlo Stanton put New York ahead for good with a three-run double in the fifth inning. SP Carlos Rodon (18-9) allowed three runs in six innings to earn the win for the Yankees (91-68), who improved to 47-31 at home.

New York manager Aaron Boone will give the nod to twenty-six year old righty Will Warren (8-8 4.35 ERA) in the series opener. The Yankees have dropped Warren’s previous four starts and he has given up 13 runs (11 ER) across his last 21 plus frames.
