Yankees Preview

The New York Yankees have won nine of their last 11 games and are two games clear of Tampa Bay for the top spot in the AL East Division. During Friday’s home victory, DH Ben Rice staked New York to a 5-1 second inning lead with a three-run blast. SP Will Warren (4-0) fanned nine batters across six plus frames to earn the win for the Yankees (21-11), who moved to 9-5 at home.

New York manager Aaron Boone will give the nod to left-hander Ryan Weathers (1-2 3.21 ERA) on Saturday. The Yankees have won Weathers’ previous two starts and he has allowed just two runs over his last 12 plus innings.
