The Washington Nationals have won seven of their last 11 games and are 8.5 games off the pace in the NL East Division race. During Friday’s home victory, OF Daylen Lile fell a triple shot of the cycle and staked Washington to a 3-0 lead with a two-run blast. SP Zack Littell (2-4) fired five shutout frames to earn the win for the Nationals (22-23), who improved to 7-13 at home.

Washington manager Blake Butera will turn to twenty-seven year old righty Cade Cavalli (1-2 4.02 ERA) on Saturday. Through 40 plus innings, Cavalli has fanned 44 batters and surrendered just one long ball.
