SP Nick Martinez (6-2) allowed three runs and lasted seven innings to earn the win for the Rays (39-25), who improved to 23-9 at home.

Thirty year old right-hander Drew Rasmussen (5-2 3.00 ERA) is making a strong case for his second consecutive All-Star Game appearance. Through 66 innings of work, Rasmussen has fanned 64 batters and ranks fifth in the majors with a 0.92 WHIP.
