The Great American Ball Park will play host to a Saturday night MLB clash between the Chicago Cubs and the Cincinnati Reds. Be ready for the baseball season with all of our MLB predictions. The Cubs (88-66) have won seven of their last ten games and are sitting comfortably atop the NL Wild Card standings. Last night, Chicago SS Dansby Swanson and 3B Matt Shaw each went deep during a 7-4 road loss against Cincinnati.

Twenty-eight year old righty Javier Asaad (3-1 4.23 ERA) will head to the hill for the Cubs in this contest. Through 27 plus innings, Asaad has retired just 15 batters by strikes and sports a respectable 1.30 WHIP.

Reds Preview

The Cincinnati Reds have won three straight games and trail New York by two games in the race for the final NL Wild Card spot. During Friday’s home victory, 1B Spencer Steer clobbered two of Cincinnati’s five long balls. All-Star SS Ely De La Cruz homered and drew a pair of walks for the Reds (78-76), who improved to 42-34 at home.

Cincinnati skipper Terry Francona will give the nod to righty Zack Littell (9-8 3.86 ERA) on Saturday. Last time out, Littell (5.2 IP) allowed five hits and four runs during an 11-6 road triumph against division rival St. Louis.
