Last night, Alex Bregman went 3-for-5 with three RBIs to lead Chicago to a 10-4 road triumph against Philadelphia. C Carson Kelly added a three-run shot in the ninth inning to seal the win for the Cubs.

For the Cubs to be serious NL Central Division contenders, right-hander Shota Imanaga (0-1 2.81 ERA) must figure prominently. In three starts this year, Imanaga (16 IP) has allowed just one long ball while fanning 20 batters.

Phillies Preview

The Philadelphia Phillies are a game below .500 at home and are in search of their third consecutive NL East Division title. During Tuesday’s home loss, 3B Edmundo Sosa put Philadelphia on the scoreboard with a three-run blast. SP Aaron Nola gave up three runs in five innings and did not factor in the decision for the Phillies.

Philadelphia manager Rob Thomson will give the nod to talented lefty Jesus Luzardo (1-2 6.23 ERA) in the series finale. In his last start, Luzardo (4.2 IP) gave up five runs and struck out eight batters during a 5-4 home loss versus Arizona.
