All-Star Casey Mize (13-5) allowed one run in five innings to earn the win for the Tigers (81-60), who improved to 45-27 at home.

Twenty-nine year old righty Jack Flaherty (7-13 4.74 ERA) is looking to regain his early season form for the Tigers. Through 142 plus innings, Flaherty ranks 15th in the majors with 169 strikeouts and owns a respectable 1.29 WHIP.
