The Philadelphia Phillies have won eight of their last 11 games and are 9.5 games back of Atlanta for first place in the NL East Division. During yesterday’s home loss, Philadelphia 3B Alec Bohm and OF Brandon Marsh hit solo shots. Struggling SP Andrew Painter (1-7) was tagged for six runs in four plus innings and took the loss for the Phillies (34-30), who fell to 18-17 at home.

The Phillies will counter with thirty-three year old righty Aaron Nola (3-4 5.55 ERA) on Sunday. In his last start, Nola (5 IP) allowed two runs and struck out eight batters during a 3-2 home victory versus San Diego.
