Rookie left-hander Noah Schultz (3-7 6.15 ERA) will make his 14th career major league start for the White Sox. Control has been a problem for Schultz, who has issued 30 free passes and surrendered nine long balls across 60 innings.

Rays Preview

The Tampa Bay Rays have won a major league best 40 home games and still are just 2.5 games ahead of New York for the top spot in the AL East Division. During Friday’s home loss, All-Star 3B Junior Caminero crushed his 30th home run of the year and drew a pair of walks. SP Nick Martinez (10-3) was tagged for six runs in six innings and took the loss for the Rays (64-45), who own the best overall record in the American League.

Tampa Bay manager Kevin Cash will turn to All-Star righty Drew Rasmussen (9-5 3.07 ERA) on Saturday. Last time out, Rasmussen (7 IP) allowed just one hit and fanned nine batters during a 1-0 home victory versus Cleveland.
