Blue Jays Preview

The Toronto Blue Jays are two games below .500 at home and are trying to climb out of the AL East Division basement. During Friday’s home loss, Toronto OF George Springer crushed his 10th home run and added an RBI on a fielder’s choice. DH Brandon Valenzuela and 2B Luis Urias also went deep for the Blue Jays (45-52), who dropped to 12 games out of first place.

Toronto manager John Schnedier will give the nod to veteran right-hander Shane Bieber (0-1 7.64 ERA) on Saturday. Control has been an issue for Bieber in his return from elbow inflammation. He has walked ten batters and surrendered an alarming seven long balls across 17 plus frames.
