Cardinals Preview

The St. Louis Cardinals are seven games above .500 at home and have less than a one percent chance to qualify for the postseason. During Tuesday’s home victory, rookie SS Thomas Saggese crushed a two-run blast in the third inning. SP Michael McGreevy (7-3) fired seven shutout frames to earn the win for the Cardinals, who improved to 74-78 overall.

The Cardinals will counter with twenty-six year old righty Andre Pallante (6-14 5.34 ERA) on Wednesday. Last time out, Pallante (5 IP) issued four walks and gave up four runs during an 8-2 road loss against Milwaukee.
