Thirty-four year old righty Michael Lorenzen (2-4 6.92 ERA) will look to get his season on track for the Rockies. In his last start, Lorenzen (5 IP) was tagged for 11 hits and seven runs during a 10-5 home loss versus New York.

Pirates Preview

The Pittsburgh Pirates are returning home after splitting a six-game west coast trip and are five games off the pace in the NL Central Division race. On Sunday, Pittsburgh batters went 2-for-13 with runners in scoring position and left 15 men on base during a 7-6 road loss against San Francisco in 12 innings. OF Oneil Cruz homered and scored twice for the Pirates.

The Pirates will counter with reigning NL Cy Young Award winner Paul Skenes (5-2 2.36 ERA) on Tuesday. Last time out, Skenes fired eight shutout frames and fanned seven batters during a 1-0 road victory against Arizona.
