On Friday, 2B Hao-Yu Lee went 2-for-3 and drove in a pair of runs during a 7-4 road loss against Baltimore.

Thirty-two year old southpaw Framber Valdez (2-3 4.58 ERA) will take the ball for the Tigers in this first game of the doubleheader. Last time out, Valdez (5 IP) gave up five hits and four runs during an 8-2 home loss versus Cleveland.

Orioles Preview

The Baltimore Orioles have dropped six of their previous ten games and own the worst record in the AL East Division. During Friday’s home victory, 1B Pete Alonso homered and drove in four runs to power the Baltimore offense. 2B Jackson Holliday added a solo shot and scored twice for the Orioles (22-29), who improved to 13-12 at home.

Baltimore manager Craig Albernaz has penciled in twenty-seven year old righty Brandon Young (3-1 4.25 ERA) to toe the rubber on Sunday. The Orioles have won Young’s previous three starts and he has allowed seven runs across his last 15 frames.
