Twenty-five year old righty Troy Melton (4-1 2.39 ERA) will make his seventh start of the year for the Tigers. Through 37 plus innings, Melton has issued just nine walks and surrendered seven long balls while posting a sparkling 0.85 WHIP.

Yankees Preview

The New York Yankees are in the midst of a season-long six-game losing streak and are two games back of Tampa Bay for first place in the AL East Division. During Tuesday’s home loss, Ben Rice clobbered his 23rd round-tripper of the year. SP Cam Schittler (8-5) was roughed up for six runs in four innings and took the loss for the Yankees (48-37).

New York manager Aaron Boone will give the nod to twenty-seven year old righty Will Warren (7-3 3.75 ERA) on Wednesday. In his last start, Warren (5.2 IP) was tagged for seven hits and five runs during a 6-1 road loss against Boston.
