Seattle enters the ALDS with a rested roster after winning the AL West. Cal Raleigh had a monster season with 60 home runs and 125 RBIs, giving the Mariners a dangerous middle-of-the-order bat. Julio Rodríguez was a steady producer with 174 hits, 32 homers, and 95 RBIs, while Jorge Polanco and J.P. Crawford added extra power and strong on-base percentages. The Mariners finished with 238 home runs and drew more than 500 walks.

Seattle also had strong support further down the order. Dominic Canzone hit .300, Luke Raley added left-handed power, and Mitch Garver produced when called upon. The pitching staff kept opponents in check with a 3.87 ERA and 1.22 WHIP over the season. With their rotation lined up in the order the coaching staff wants and bullpen fresh, the Mariners are set for Game 1 at home. Seattle has not announced its starting pitcher for Game 1.
